Windrow

Glossary

Windrow in agriculture refers to harvested crops gathered and deposited in rows on a field.

In the context of Styrian pumpkin seed oil: In oil pumpkin cultivation, the fruits are typically pushed into windrows using a blade or pusher after being detached from the stem ("pumpkin pushing") – not mowed like grain. The windrows facilitate mechanical collection and subsequent seed extraction.
